| The e-ntitle.® process and its benefits.
Compliance
e-ntitle.® enforces compliance with current legal requirements.
For example, e-ntitle.® adheres to the Data Protection Act and can handle requests under ‘subject access rights’. Its publishing scheme enables organisations to meet their obligations under the UK Freedom of Information Act. These features enable the organisation to reduce their costs.
e-ntitle.®‘s flexible architecture ensures that any supplementary industry or organisation requirements can be configured within the software. The agile architecture has also been designed to enable integration of future legislative requirements, providing organisations with a sound ‘return on investment’ proposition.
Efficiency
e-ntitle.® can be pre-populated from existing datasets in order to speed up the registration process. The application is an automated sequential process for ease of use. Compared to a manual registration process, e-ntitle.® is around 75% more efficient resulting in substantial administration cost savings.
Two stage registration process
Stage 1 of registration. The organisation appoints registration officers who register individuals ‘face-to-face’, checking and recording the supporting evidence used, within e-ntitle.®. The software takes the users through a step-by-step process. If the requirements on each screen are not meet then the software will not allow the creation of a digital certificate. The organisation is in full control and is able to demonstrate a complete audit of the registration. e-ntitle.® captures exactly who did what and when, the types of documents and the sources of evidence used during registration, as well as consent under data protection.
Stage 2 of the registration. The individuals check their information and then create their own electronic signature (part of the digital certificate) under their sole control. This is in accordance with the legal requirement under UK and European law for ‘sole control’.
This major advancement ensures that organisations and individuals using digital certificates do so in line with the legislation.
Lifecycle management
Digital certificate renewal, suspension and revocation are a core functionality of the software. The organisation can demonstrate to their business community that they have their electronic identities under control. In some business sectors identity control and ‘identity assurance’ are pre-requisites to winning business and remaining on approved suppliers lists.
e-ntitle.® provides automated digital certificate renewal alerts, together with comprehensive management reports which enable the organisation to monitor, control and plan it’s digital certificate lifecycle.
The business process is designed to enforce legislation , provide identity assurance and give full control to the organisation, whilst offering cost saving benefits.
